Counting the Omer – Feeding the Land, not the Landfill

New biodegradable and compostable cutlery and dishes will  are available now and they can be added to your compost pile. Consider buying these for your life cycle events, simchas and parties. We used this for our Lag b’Omer picnic. Take care when purchasing to make sure the items you purchase are compostable in the home compost bin. Some are only compostable commercially.

Blessing for Day Forty Eight

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְיָ אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ מֶֽלֶךְ הָעוֹלָם, אֲשֶׁר קִדְּשָֽׁנוּ בְּמִצְוֹתָיו, וְצִוָּֽנוּ עַל סְפִירַת הָעֹֽמֶר.

Baruch atah Adonai Eloheinu melech ha-olam asher kid’shanu b’mitzvotav vitzivanu al s’firat ha-omer.

Blessed are You, Adonai our God, Sovereign of the universe, who makes us holy with mitzvot, and commands us concerning the counting of the Omer.
